The initial idea behind the Porta lounge chair and armchair arose while observing the entrance portico of the Chandigarh Palace of Assembly, designed by Le Corbusier in 1951. Porta is an abstraction of that bold sculptural expressionism, brutal and subtle at the same time.
Porta is a partially upholstered high-backed armchair, made of oak wood, laminated for the main body and solid for the legs. Its sculptural composition materializes into a robust seat with a powerful presence in the space it occupies. It has a simple, honest and rigorous construction that displays subtle and polished details.
Throughout its development, achieving maximum comfort was a top priority. This was accomplished through the careful shaping of the shell, with meticulously designed curves that support the body in a natural and ergonomic way. In addition, a thoughtfully engineered combination of foam layers, each with varying thicknesses and densities, was used to create a balanced seating experience that provides both softness and support. This attention to detail ensures long-lasting comfort, whether for short sitting periods or extended use.
The Porta lounge chair was selected winner of the “Fuera de Serie. Design & Innovation Award 2024” in the Furniture category, granted by the Spanish lifestyle magazine Fuera de Serie. It was selected by the jury from among all new furniture products launched that year by all Spanish design brands.

Use a soft, dry cloth to remove the dust from the chair. For deeper cleaning, gently wipe the surface with a slightly damp cloth and immediately dry with a clean dry cloth. Always test a small area first to ensure it does not damage the finish. For further cleaning and maintenance instructions of the upholstery, please adhere to the textile manufacturer’s guidelines for the chosen fabric.
