STRAIGHT AND CURVY
The Tenon lounge chair designed for New Works embodies a blend of simplicity and
precision. A solid oak structure, clean and robust, embraces a core of soft, cushioned
curves, like an outer shell protecting a more delicate inside. A design that
underlines the beauty of simplicity and the power within it.
Working with solid oak
Combining different characters in a single seat, the chair is both strong and sturdy yet soft and graceful, and displays a powerful personality within its petite dimensions. Tenon provides good comfort and invites the user to recline on its abundantly padded seat and backrest.
Small & mighty
Originally sketched in 2020, the composition follows an uncomplicated geometry made up by a series of wooden slats joined together using one of the most traditional and efficient woodworking joints, 'mortise and tenon'.
NOMINATED AS BEST FURNITURE OF 2024
The Tenon lounge chair was nominated as Best Furniture of the Year to the Design Awards 2024, by the three major Danish lifestyle magazines: Bo Bedre, Bolig Magasinet and Scandinavian Living. It was selected by the jury from among the new furniture products launched that year by all Danish design brands.
