A CALM, DELICATE CEREMONY
Preparing and drinking filter coffee has almost become a cultural revolution against the notion that faster is better. Sekki is a slow coffee set that explores the enjoyment of coffee making as a ritual.
SERENE AND DELICATE SHAPES
The concept is based on this calm, relaxation and mindfulness philosophies. Soft, serene forms with a fine organic movement represent the delicacy and sensitivity of this coffee ceremony, while the petite foot ring gently elevates the bowls in a seemingly floating manner.
WORKING WITH PURPLE CLAY
Sekki series is made with cream glazed purple clay, a type of Yixing Clay that has been traditionally used in Chinese pottery for the last ten centuries. The series consists of a coffee pot, coffee dripper, milk jug, mug and cups. Later additions to the series included bowls and plates in several sizes.
