BRUTAL & SUBTLE
The initial idea behind the Porta lounge chair and armchair arose while observing the entrance portico of the Chandigarh Palace of Assembly, designed by Le Corbusier in 1951. Porta is an abstraction of that bold sculptural expressionism, brutal and subtle at the same time.

															A POWERFUL PRESENCE
Porta is a partially upholstered high-backed armchair, made of oak wood, laminated for the main body and solid for the legs. Its sculptural composition materializes into a robust seat with a powerful presence in the space it occupies. It has a simple, honest and rigorous construction that displays subtle and polished details.

															RIGOROUS CONSTRUCTION
The armchair has the option to add armrests for greater comfort. Construction rigor has been paramount in its design, implementing a removable structure system that allows the legs and armrests to be disassembled in order to optimize transport and storage, reducing its carbon footprint.

															SUSTAINABLE COMFORT
During its development, achieving the maximum comfort was a priority, which was attained thanks to the meticulous curves of its shell and a specific combination of foam layers of different thicknesses and densities. Porta is made from FSC-certified oak wood, and its fabric is composed by 92% post-consumer recycled polyester.

WINNER OF THE “FUERA DE SERIE DESIGN & INNOVATION AWARD 2024”
