Las mesas auxiliares y de centro Distinct surgieron de una exploraci\u00f3n sobre c\u00f3mo construir contornos m\u00e1s elaborados a partir de un \u00fanico elemento: el plano geom\u00e9trico. VUELVE EL NEOPLASTICISMO<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

De clara inspiraci\u00f3n neopl\u00e1stica, originalmente el dise\u00f1o fue realizado en piedra acr\u00edlica, que es un material compuesto de resinas minerales y acr\u00edlicas, no poroso, no absorbente, muy duradero y ecol\u00f3gico. La piedra acr\u00edlica se emplea habitualmente en la fabricaci\u00f3n de encimeras de cocina y ba\u00f1o, por lo que en este caso se reinventa el uso del material en un contexto completamente nuevo. En contraste con la precisi\u00f3n y simplicidad de su configuraci\u00f3n, la riqueza y abundancia de colores y texturas ayudan a enfatizar la composici\u00f3n y sus diferentes partes.<\/p>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Distinct ferm LIVING 2018 A SINGLE ELEMENT The Distinct side and coffee tables came about as an exploration of how to build more elaborate outlines based on one single element: the geometrical plane. Initially envisioned to be built in acrylic stone, it was the desire to work with this material, which is available in boards of a standard thickness, what became the starting point of the project. NEOPLASTICISM IS BACK Showcasing a clear neoplastic inspiration, it was originally made in acrylic stone, which is a mineral and acrylic resin composite material, non-porous, non-absorbent, highly durable and eco-friendly. Acrylic stone is commonly employed in the manufacture of kitchen and bathroom countertops, so in this case the material’s use is reinvented in a completely new context. Contrasting with the precision and simplicity of its configuration, the richness and abundance of colours and textures help emphasise the composition and its different parts. THE SUBTLE VERSIONS A more subtle version in travertine was later added to the Distinct family and well as a coffee table size, in which the natural grains and veins of the stone take the center stage. Further on, a dark brown travertine version was added to the family. Project developed as senior designer for Ferm Living. All design and image rights belong to \u00a9 Ferm Living Aps.
