The design concept behind this magazine rack arises from the idea of breaking out of the norm and challenging the established. Contrary to the standard, the surfaces where the books and magazines will rest are not aligned with any of the three planes deíned by our Cartesian axes X, Y and Z, but are instead tilted in every direction by means of two simple rotations.
NEW PERSPECTIVES
This results in an interesting composition that mutates from every perspective and challenges the eye to understand an unorthodox object that doesn’t follow the conventional alignments and rules of our material world.
CHALLENGING THE ESTABLISHED
This piece challenges the viewers normalcy. There is something about it that makes you a little uncomfortable but also opens your mind and your space to new and different perspectives. Suddenly our world view changes and we realise things can also be different. We can challenge the norm.
