A DELICATE TRADITION
The Still teapot is composed by superpositions of shades of glass that aim to materialise the peacefulness and composure of the tea ceremony. The geometrical design represents the traditional character of the ritual, while the glass symbolises its most delicate aspects.
FILTERING THROUGH SHADES OF GLASS
While the water filters through the tea leaves, light is also filtered through the layering of the different hues of glass, giving away the tea's own colour through the clear glass body. The roughly spherical glass figure is irregular and designed to spin on itself rather than roll off the table.
A GROWING SERIES
To accompany the teapot and complete the family, the Still carafe, glasses and mugs were conceived at a later stage.
This project was developed under the role of designer at Ferm Living.
