A DIALOGUE BETWEEN FIGURES
Arum is a conversation between two volumes. The robust, rounded marble base contrasts with the softly curved, organic shade. Both elements find the perfect balance by means of an off-centre structure that draws a distinctive top arch, which allows the shade to gently pend from, in a leaf-like manner.
THE RESULT OF THE MATERIAL’S BEHAVIOUR
The shade’s organic curves are not imposed, but are the result of the gentle manipulation of a circular metal plate from which a section has been cut out. When the circular plate is joined together through the cutting lines, it bends by itself, resulting in the double-curved surface characteristic of Arum's shade. An action is exerted and the material reacts according to its will, revealing the natural expression of the metal's own behaviour.
A WIDE FAMILY
The original Arum series includes a floor lamp, a table lamp and two wall lamps in different heights. The shade direction can be regulated to optimise the light distribution and adjust to the perfect position for each room or moment. The inner part of the shade has a matt off-white finish to ensure a soft, comfortable, well-spread light.
